Elimination Chamber Facts

Elimination Chamber might be my favourite stipulation match. It's so unique in it's look and feel. It combines elements of Hell In A Cell and War Games, and the chain barrier is reminiscent of the old Big Blue version of the Steel Cage. The plating around the ring gives the performers a lot of freedom to do spots they normally couldn't do. The new cage design in 2017 offers even more freedom in terms of headroom, making it easier and safer to jump from great heights and move up, down, and around the chain barrier. And there's something special about seeing someone go through a pod no other match offers. Add to this the randomness of who will enter the match at what interval and the elimination stipulation, and any Chamber match can play out any number of surprising ways, even if the winner is predictable.

There have been 22 Elimination Chamber matches since it's inception in 2002, and how many of those matches stick out as bad matches? I can only think of a few. I don't know if any chamber match has been a match of the year candidate before, but the chances of getting a 4-Star match are high. What more can you ask for?
